A written care plan before the first night, and a call from us at the end of the first day.

A house you can walk end to end in under a minute, not a wing off a corridor. This is what your mother would actually be living in.
A filmed walk-through
Photographs only go so far. A short video shows the things families actually ask about — how far the bathroom is from the bed, how much light the rooms get, how loud the house is in the afternoon.
It is being filmed now. Until it is here, call and we will walk you round it room by room on the phone, or come and see it in person.
Cost
What it costs, and what the rate covers
One monthly rate, set after an assessment of the care actually needed. No entrance fee, and no charge for a visit or a conversation.

How families pay
Most pay privately or from a long-term care insurance policy. Veterans and surviving spouses may qualify for VA Aid & Attendance. Ask us about the Kansas HCBS Frail Elderly waiver. Medicare does not pay for Home Plus care — it is licensed by the state, not certified by Medicare, and anyone telling you otherwise is mistaken.

Families come to us from Overland Park, Lenexa, Shawnee, Olathe, Leawood, Merriam, Mission, Prairie Village and across the wider Kansas City metro. Residents do not need to live nearby already — many move here to be closer to a son or daughter.

A Home Plus is a Kansas licence for a residential home that provides personal care, meals and 24-hour supervision to a small number of adults. A traditional assisted living community is a building with dozens or hundreds of apartments. The care is similar; the setting, the scale and the number of people your parent has to get to know are not.
Someone who needs help with bathing, dressing, medication or mobility but not hospital-level nursing; who is safer with supervision at night than alone at home; or who becomes anxious and disoriented in large buildings. If you are unsure, call and describe the situation — we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.
Yes. Familiar surroundings, a predictable routine and staff who know a person's history are the things that reduce agitation, and a small home does those well. There are limits — call and describe the behaviour you are seeing and we will tell you plainly whether we can meet the need safely.
Room, board, meals and snacks, laundry and housekeeping, help with daily living, medication management, activities and 24-hour staffing are included in the monthly rate.
